AUDITING OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

Auditing of company financial statements is compulsory in Malaysia. It is the annual compliance affair that both the company and its auditors need to manage each year.

We emphasize on performing an intelligent audit where we plan and execute the audit effectively and efficiently so that the objective of the audit can be achieved – high quality, timely and at reasonable cost.

In addition to company audit, we also audit financial statements of other entities and for other purposes such as

We also act as the Component Auditors of the holding company auditors of the PLCs and foreign companies where we audit their subsidiaries in Malaysia in accordance with instruction from the holding company auditors in addition to the normal statutory audit requirements.

TAX COMPLIANCE AND ADVISORY SERVICES

Tax compliance services

We act as tax agent for company and individual tax where we compute and determine the tax liability in accordance with the taxation laws and the accounts and other information provided. We assist in filing the annual tax return as well as the submission of tax estimate and revision of tax estimate.

Under the Self Assessment System and Current Year Assessment System, use of competent and trusted tax agent is important to ensure proper tax compliance and cash flow planning and to avoid the hefty penalties for late filing or for errors found during the tax audit.

GST/SST COMPLIANCE AND ADVISORY SERVICES

GST was implemented in Malaysia from 1 April 2015 to 31 August 2018 and Sales Tax and Services Tax (SST) was re-introduced effective from 1 September 2018 arising from change of Federal Government in Malaysia in May 2018.

We provide compliance/return filing and other advisory services on both indirect taxes (GST and SST). We possess GST Agent License as well as MyGCAP Reviewer certificates.

ACCOUNTING AND PAYROLL SERVICES

Our outsourcing associate provides services to assist SMEs and other corporations to do the monthly, quarterly or yearly accounts using accounting software.
We can provide value-added management and financial analysis that can be used as important tools and information for the management to make important business decision.
We assist clients to prepare and process the payroll of their employees for better compliance and for confidentiality purposes.

FINANCIAL REPORTING STANDARDS ADVISORY AND LITIGATION SUPPORT

Malaysia adopts two tier accounting standards – the MFRS(and FRS) for the public interest entities and the MPERS(PERS) for private entities. MFRS is equivalent to IFRS. MPERS which will be effective from 1 January 2016 is equivalent to IFRS for SMEs with slight changes.

We can advise on the accounting policy and treatment for specific transaction and contract under both sets of standards.

In a litigation involving accounts and financial affairs, we can provide litigation support to the lawyers on interpretation of accounts and valuation of business.

COMPANY LIQUIDATION SERVICES

A company can be dissolved in a number of ways. A dormant company can usually be closed down by way of strike-off of name by the relevant authority. Other ways include Member’s Voluntary Up and Court Winding Up. One of our partners is an approved company liquidator with experiences over 30 years and we can assist in this process.
